Recent Haps

I've been showing some of my polaroid enlargements recently
at Matters of Space in Highland Park,
5005 York Blvd Los Angeles 90042.
There was a great reception on the 11th of June which I
was quite slack in promoting due to having been galivanting
around upstate New York the prior week.  :)
Fun was had in spite of this, and a bit of work
was sold, to my delight.  Woot!
The show remains up until July 8th, but if you don't get there in time,
contact me for a private showing.

Each photograph is archivally printed on gorgeous matte paper and is
part of a limited edition of 25.  Each is signed and numbered.
Some of them are original Polaroid films, and the rest are created
using the amazing new films from The Impossible Project.
Polaroid is not dead!  But it is a whole new medium: one suited
much more to an artist's eye and temperament,
each one flush with possibility and surprise!
I'm hooked.

You can check out an online preview of my FineArt Prints here.

Artwalk This Weekend @ The Brewery

It's time for another weekend  Artwalk at the Brewery Lofts,  just east of downtown Los Angeles.
I will have my archivally printed polaroids, available framed or matted.  I'm showing with Winifred Johnson Brewer and Bill Brewer.  Check us out in Studio 622 G.

There are over 100 artists participating this fall, and admission and parking are free.  There will be food vendors, and people-watching galore.  The weather is supposed to be gorgeous!

See the links above for more info.

Let the Good Times Roll

...think I'll start with a nap.

hello yello

I like the new neighbor already.

Not only did she bring this chair into our lives, but the other day I walked up behind her and said hello. She screamed and jumped a foot.

my inching progress

Well I don't want to jinx myself or anything, but today I started a small painting. I know, I know....
Before I could talk myself out of it, I got my shit together and set up a spot near the window downstairs.
Didn't hurt that it was a nice day, and I left the door open to let the cat out while I puttered around --

the turpentine smells good.
